Heating up the summer ~ Wet and Wild Bl0g H0p ( #wildhop @rmsotera @evernightpub #SO )

Howdy & welcome! We're swinging into the hot and sultry months of summer and what better time to have a bl0g h0p called Wet and Wild than now? Woot!
* Here in Las Vegas things are already heating up. Yup, we've been experiencing temps in the 100's! Too soon for that kind of heat, I say. It should just stick to tormenting us at the end of July and through August. If you live in the desert areas of the Southwest, you know what I mean. But it's not just the outdoor temperatures that are getting hot. RM and I have been burning up the keyboards working on more Double D Ranch goodness!
* At the top of the list is a story we've entitled Wild West Promise. We're nearing the last of the drafts and soon will have a final to submit. It's a short story. Gonna be between 10K and 12K words, and it'll follow a special night in wrangler Kent's life. And there's a surprise with this story, but you'll just have to wait to find out what that is. ;)
* We're also 25K+ into our next full length story (shootin' for 50K+ words) that we've named Wild West Island Getaway. This will pick up after Wild West Hauntings and will follow most of the gang as they vacation down in the Caribbean on Grand Cayman. Bristol and Cassie will both experience some major shocks and changes in this tale.
* Then we have two more novellas, introducing twins Alexis and Amber Dougan, Dakota and Damon's cousins. Like Wild West Island Getaway, these two stories plan to have lots of drama and intrigue in them, too!
* And, fear not dear readers, we still have another full length book planned which will highlight Kane and Roxy's journey, along with other ideas we're tossing around for more books. See? Lots of hot, hot, hot stories are on the way from the Double D writing team!
* Have you ever wished you could meet us? Well, now you have a great opportunity! We'll be attending a Romance Readers' Event called Hot Mojave Knights here in our wonderful city of Las Vegas! (Click HERE for info) We're also planning a special intimate event at the conference regarding our Wild West series of books! So come out, meet us, enjoy the weekend and find out what we have planned for the series. There's a possibility YOU can be a part of a Double D Ranch tale book!

* Now the business of the h0p... There are a couple of great grand prizes to be had!
* To enter your name into the drawing for the prizes and the individual prize(s) each blog is offering, you'll need to visit the blogs (click on the bl0g h0p pic at the top of the post to be directed to the list or start with the linky list below). Then comment on the blog as per what that blog requires and leave your first name AND an email address (so you can be contacted should you win). Continue on the journey by visiting each one on the list. Easy peasy. :)
* So is it heating up where you're at? Have any interesting plans for summer? Gonna come out and see us at HMK? ;) Leave your answer with your name and email address as your comment and you'll be entered for the grand prizes along with a chance to win your choice of one PDF of either Wild West Weekend or Wild West Hauntings. For another entry, feel free to follow this blog via the Google Connect in the left column.
* Don't forget to visit these other fine blogs for more chances at winning some great prizes! Thanks for stopping by!

Wild West Weekend by C.R. Moss & RM Sotera
Two brothers... Two best friends... One... Wild West Weekend
Two people scared to love again. Two others hesitant about commitment. A weekend in Nevada will change all that.
Bristol Ashcombe is swearing off men and taking a vacation with her friend, Cassie. Damon Dougan is packed and ready to leave the ranch for a trip, that is, until a long-legged, sexy woman steps out of a vehicle and he decides to stay. Will one sex filled weekend be enough for either of them?
Cassie Harding travels to the Double D ranch, to meet Bristol and looks forward to seeing her old friend, Dakota. Dak’s excited when Cassie, his former sweetheart, returns. Cassie and Dakota, though they’re heating up ‘the sheets’ in and out of the bedroom, have fears about commitment after years of being single. Will they find it’s better to dance together than apart?

185, 2 & 130K+ ( #ddrtales @evernightpub @crmoss @rmsotera )

Hi folks. Dakota Dougan here. You might be wondering about the numbers I’ve listed. Well, as ranch manager, it’s one of my duties to keep track of how things are running. You know, keep tabs on accounts receivable and payable, whether our guests are happy or not, making sure our ranch meets the high standards we set. Yes, I am a control freak. Or at least I used to be. Cassie’s been helping me break that particular trait of mine. I have to say, though she’s getting a little overzealous with those cuffs and that crop of hers, I like the way she tries to get me to stop micromanaging. My hot woman in the sack can distract me any time. Anyway, I digress. Back to the topic before someone on the spread or in the back office needs my attention.
So, me and my monitoring… I set about looking up things on the internet the other day and came across some interesting numbers. If you’ve looked at our Ranch News page, you’ll see a couple of them there. Some kind folk gave mine and my brother’s stories about how we met our ladies a read through and commented on them. I tip my hat to y’all and say thanks for your time. ;)
The next number I came across was the 2. Yep, that’s what our tales on love were rated by another. It’s sad really, a bit of a disappointment that our fun, light hearted romps in the high desert mountains of southern Nevada didn’t fare better with them. But c’est la vie. To each their own. Luckily, I had found that 5 star rating a couple of hours later. Made the folk around here feel a little better about themselves and the hard work they do. For a while there I thought I might have to wrangle tickets to Love for them all so they could have a nice evening out and cheer up. Yep, there are perks to living only a few miles from the strip in Las Vegas.
If you’ve read mine & Damon’s story, could ya give us a holler and let us know what you thought? We have a Guest Book now–top of the page in the menu bar–where you can stop by, say “Howdy!” and leave your comments. If you don’t want to comment in our Guest Book, feel free to email our associates C.R. Moss and RM Sotera. (contact@crmoss.net and/or rmsotera@gmail.com) They’ll be happy to pass the word along. If you haven’t had a chance to read our stories, could you pick up a copy (details on purchasing are below) and then let us know what you thought? Marianne & Miguel along with Marianne’s sister, Rachel, and her beau, & the rest of the gang, are looking to share their ghost stories with you, but they’re feeling a little gun-shy about the process due to the numbers rolling in. Same with me and Cassie and Kane and Roxy. We’d love to let you in on what happened to us when an Indian spirit came to visit. Let’s let the people of the ranch here know that their stories are worth telling, too. Be much appreciated!
As for the 185 and the 130K+, they come from sites that sell our stories. First off, let me say that the best place to pick up a copy of our tales about life on the ranch is at Evernight Publishing. The e-books there are available in PDF, HTML, EPUB, and PRC/MOBI.  PDF is the most requested format. EPUB works best with the iPod and iPad, while PRC works best with Kindle. So no matter the reader you have whether it’s a Kindle, Nook, or just on your computer, you can get the version you need through Evernight. Plus, my accounts receivable department will thank you for your patronage there since we get more bang for our buck through the direct site. Just click on the word Evernight and you’ll mosey straight there.
But should you like to shop elsewhere, you can also find us at ARe. Yep, we’re there and in the top 200 (#185) of Westerns. Now, that might not seem all that great to y’all who are in the top 100 or even the top 10, but it beats being at the bottom of the list, don’t it? You can also find WWW at Amazon for the Kindle. The other day there we were at 130,000 and change. Yeah, it’d sure be better if that number were lower...much lower...but we’ll take that over 1 mil or more. ;) Barnes and Noble has us, too. But, again, the best bet is straight from the horse’s mouth so to say at Evernight.
Thank ya kindly for your support! And, don't forget to stop back and check for news and updates. Feel free to let us know how you're doing and how we're doing as well.

Welcome! Check out our cover!

Our cover artist Dara England did a great job with the cover of our co-authored story. RM and I are pleased to be on board with Evernight Publishing. :)
Over the course of the next several weeks C.R. will be visiting several blogs and at each of them she’ll be discussing different aspects of Las Vegas (it’s not all about the strip ya know ;). Why? Because she's excited about the release of ‘Wild West Weekend’ which is set just outside of Las Vegas, and also as a lead in to the EAA conference she and RM will be attending here in town in September.
The background scene in the cover and on this blog is of the southern Nevada landscape. It was taken out at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. For more information about it, visit: http://www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/lvfo/blm_programs/blm_special_areas/red_rock_nca.html  It really is a beautiful area and diverse in its views. Back in June, C.R. shared some pictures of the area on her blog. Check out the following links…

There’s lots of hiking trails out there, mountain bike riding, horseback riding, or you can just drive the one-way loop, stop at the different vantage points and view the world around you. The LVAS (http://www.lvastronomy.com/) holds events up there, allowing the public to view the night sky through their telescopes. Athletes use the loop for training runs and biking and then compete up there in races. And, if you’re into wildlife, you’ll get to see wild burros, sometimes wild horses and, if you look close enough, Desert Big Horn Sheep. Let’s not forget the bobcats and coyotes, rabbits and chipmunks, and all the creepy crawly things, too. ;)
     Here’s a peek into ‘Wild West Weekend’…

Excerpt ~
Before she could take her next breath, he swept her into his arms, held her tight. “It’s been too long. We have a lot of catching up to do.”
The top of her head rested against his collar bone. She felt his strength, loved his deep, voice. His scent of rich spices and woods after a rain with hints of leather and suede enveloped her. A comfort she hadn’t felt in ages settled in her soul. She sighed, then purred. “Yes, Dak, we do, don’t we?”
His heart beat fast and strong beneath her ear. Lustful desire pulsed within her. Every pore in her body soaked in his vibrant male essence. The sensations she had experienced in her youth repeated. Need and want, stronger than the urge to buy a really expensive pair of heels, coiled within her, demanded she turn her head and plant her lips on his. Her nipples budded, strained against her bra under her white blouse. Her jeans had become uncomfortably tight.
She tilted her head back, grasped the back of his and planted her lips on his mouth. Cassie kissed him with a surprising hunger, as if she had never kissed him or another man before. What shocked her on top of her own response was his. He returned her passion with his own, claiming her mouth with his tongue, silently demanding more from her with his ravishment.
