Welcome to the middle of the week &
Mid Week Tease is an event where authors are spotlighting a few lines or a paragraph or two from their stories. Readers, you get to sample some delicious snippets and be teased, titillated and tantalized into the weekend!
Our contribution to MWT this week is from Wild West Weekend in preparation of our upcoming release Wild West Promise. Here, Dakota is down at the bonfire thinking about the ranch, his family and the women who've come to visit. It has a hint toward the paranormal aspect that becomes more prevalent in book 2 Wild West Hauntings & book 3 Wild West Promise. Enjoy!
* But then, why should he find anything strange about what was going on around the ranch. With every new guest who came onto the property a new flavor of fun was added to the mix and anything could happen. There was one evening a family stumbled upon a couple in the midst of an intimate act in the pool, and he had to calm all the people down about their claims over indecency and voyeurism. Just over nine months later, he received a card and a picture of a baby named, Dillon, from the couple. Then there was the haunted town down the way, and his ranch’s resident ghosts. It’s a wonder anything surprised him anymore.
* Damon took the marshmallow on a stick from the brunette, handed the burning treat to Hugh, then whispered in the petite woman’s ear.
* Her gaze widened. Her laughter rang over the gathering.
* Everyone stilled, became quiet. She stared at Damon like he had grown two heads, tossed her long curly black hair over her shoulder. “You sing?”
